Balou du Rouet

Balou is the perfect sports type, equipped with maximum elasticity in the basic gaits and first class jumping quality. His impressive rideability is of great importance for future sporting and breeding career. Oldenburg Silver Medallist 2005

Breeding

His sire Baloubet du Rouet, is currently one of the most successful show jumping stallions at international level. No horse has ever achieved such a record in the World Cup series , 3 wins and 2 seconds in 5 consecutive years. To add to this magnificent record he has also been French 7 year old champion, team bronze at the Sydney Olympics and many Grand Prix and Nation Cup wins. Baloubets Sire Galoubet A has become a highly influential sire of such famous stallions as Touchdown, whose most prominent current mare is Liscalgot, Quickstar , Skippy II and Caloubet du Rouet. The dams pedigree is by Contendor and Georgette is modern and performance orientated and has already produced ' Sandrissimo' who is succesful in Championships and Grand Prix. Due to this depth of pedigree Balou is sought after as a breeding horse both in Germany and abroad.

Performance

He proved his genetically predisposed jumping qualities at the 30 day test in Vechta in 2002, where he received a convincing score of 9.2 in this discipline. With his qualification for the 2004 German Federal Championship he finally completed the demanded performance criteria. In 2004, under Anita Sande and Gerardus Krijnen, he won novice and elementary showjumper tests, and was highly placed in the intermediate class. In 2005 he caught everyone’s attention by scoring the highest mark of 9.2 at the national championships, making him one of Germany’s top 4 licensed stallions.

Progeny

Balou du Rouet emphasises his dominant quality as a producer in type, elegance and movement, with numerous foals at many different auctions. He continuously produces finalists for the German foal championships. Offspring of Balou du Rouet have been approved at almost every stallion licensing – most notably the licensed “BE BRAVO”, who sold for € 350.000 as the most expensive horse of the 2007 AOS auction. His number of approved sons has amounted to over ten stallions.
