Del Quinto
Best stallion in the partial rideability index
Breeding
The black coated Donnerhall son Del Piero completed the stallion performance test in Münster-Handorf in 1997 as
third, in performance class I. Following wins in conformation show classes, Del Piero had a „start-goal-win“, which brought
him the title of federal champion five-year-old dressage horse in 1998. He won both in the semi-finals and the finals, with the
dream scores of 9.0 and 9.5. This was followed in 1999, by his win of the silver medal at the World Championship of six-yearold
Dressage Horses in Arnheim/Netherlands and third place in the Federal Championship. Del Piero has meanwhile had
numerous wins and high placements up to international Grand Prix events. He presented the most highly remunerated filly of
the 2000 Verden auction, at the price of D.M. 40,000. Del Piero’s progeny have already had wins and high placements in
bodywork classes and have catapulted him into the front phalanx of German sires of dressage horses in the FN breeding value
rating. Del Quinto’s dam Annis was mated with the successful three-day-eventer Laurus Akzentus (private stallion Bavaria),
which resulted in a further approved son, and covered by A Jungle Prince, she gave birth to the mare Anneliese, winner of the
2003 Mare Show in Dorum. The damsire Akzent II is a pronounced transmitter of rideability. He is also present in the maternal
grandsire’s side of pedigrees of hereditary transmitters such as De Niro and Dimension, Gralshüter, Carismo, Welton, Trend,
Pik Labionics, World Man G, Grannus Ass and Gracieux. The grandam Selina is moreover the grandam of the renowned
Hanoverian hereditary transmitter Glückspilz (by Glücksstern-Perfekt I; private stallion Poland). The damline originates from
the region of the Heidestation Luhmühlen and is based on the mare Altfeme (by Altena-Freitag II-Freddy I etc.), which also
produced the stallions Clousseau, (runner-up of the 2000 Hanoverian approval) Donnerhall’s sire Donnerwetter, Lehnsritter
(private stallion USA) and Ratzeputz.
Performance
Del Quinto completed his stallion performance test in Vilhelmsborg (Denmark) in 2004, becoming
overall vice-champion and best stallion in the partial rideability index.
