Faustinus

A seldom seen, gorgeous type that draws all eyes with his charming presence. A highly modern black stallion with riding horse lines and that sleek Thoroughbred look, his athletic movements and innate light footedness make a first class impression just perfect. Breeding

His sire, Fürst Heinrich, was the celebrated 2003 World Champion of five year old dressage horses in Verden. Fürst Heinrich has sired 20 licensed sons, including the 2004 Oldenburg Champion Stallion, Van the Man (by Fürst Heinrich - Volturno) and the Reserve Champion Stallion of the 14th NRW main approval 2004, Fürst Grandios (Fürst Heinrich – Argentinus). The dam's sire, Starway, finished his performance test in Medingen on 3rd place in performance class 1 with an index of 128.78 points. Under Ingrid Klimke he won the qualification for the Bundeschampionat for event horses twice. This dam line also produced Friedensfürst (by Rondo), an international Grand Prix winner, Rombus and Römer (by Herzkönig), Ricardo (by Index), Ravel (by Mahagoni), a Grand Prix dressage horse and Rockefeller (by Consul), also a Grand Prix dressage horse.

Performance

Faustinus successfully passed his 30 day test this year in Neustadt/Dosse with scores of 8.38 in rideability and 8.19 in jumping. In 2006 he was campion at his 70 day test at Neustadt /dosse with 136.44 . In his dressage he was awarded a score of 143.64 which placed him first and he also again showed great aptitude for Show Jumping scoring 117.16 and within the set of marks he scored 9.25 for rideability. In 2007 under Tanja Lammers, Faustinus easily qualified for the Bundeschampionat and, in spite of the most adverse conditions at the State Championships, took fourth place in the class for 5-year old dressage horses. He also won the indoor show in Sögel with over 85 percent.

Progeny

Many of the off-spring from his first foal crop were awarded premiums which brought Faustinus the I-b main premium for stallions with emphasis on dressage. One of his sons qualified for the German Foal Championships.
