Rubinero

This black stallion really is in a class of his own, combining highly refined bloodlines, a striking exterior, scope and impressive movement through generous freedom at the shoulder.

Breeding

His dam, Faola, only 8 years old and a participant in the Hanoverian Jumper Program, passed her performance test (8.36) at the station in Verden with well over average scores, receiving a 9.0 for her willingness to perform, her canter, rideability (not only from the training director but also the outside rider), free jumping technique and a 10.0 for free jumping ability, impressively proving her double talent for dressage and jumping. The granddam, Farina, produced the successful sporthorses, Just Emmin (by Justinian) and Whisper (by Worldman). Ex Libris, bred in the Netherlands and then stationed in the southern part of Oldenburg, makes not only jumpers but dressage horses as well, a talent Furioso II, Inschallah AA and More Magic xx also had. The total prize money earned by the off-spring of the stallions named above is nearly 4,500,000 € as of Sept. 30, 2003 (Ex Libris: 88,243 €, Furioso II: 3,549,275 €, Inschallah AA: 710,721 €).

Performance

Rubinero impressed at the stallion test not only with his high dressage of 140.54 and overall score of 133.12, which included a 10.0 for rideability. In 2004 Rubinero participated in the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf, he placed first and had other high placings in novice and elementary dressage horse tests with the highest scores of 9.0, at the State Championships in Rastede where he became Vice Champion. In 2005 he qualified for the Bundeschampionat for five year old dressage horses, where he achieved several first and other places in elementary and medium level dressage horse tests. In 2006 Rubinero continued his training and achieved firsts and other places in medium and advanced level dressage tests. In this past season, Rubinero won a series of dressage tests under Tanja Lammers up to St. George and Inter I and is presently being trained for Grand Prix. Rubinero is homozygous for dark colour.

Progeny

In 2007, a black son from Rubinero's first crop was licensed in Redefin. Another son was admitted to the licensing in Oldenburg. With his many premium foals, Rubinero was also represented at the larger auctions as well as the German Foal Championships in Lienen.
