Rock ForeverBreedingHis sire Rockwell is deemed an exceptionally gifted double talent. In 1998 he was the only horse to qualify not only in jumping but also in dressage for the Bundeschampionat and actually placed later in advanced (S) level jumping as well as advanced (S) level dressage tests. Ten of his sons were licensed including the Vice Bundeschampion Ibikon's Rostropowitsch and the 2nd Reserve Champion, Rockland. His full sister Rapalla was the 2000 queen of the Rhineland Broodmare Show. When bred to Sandro Hit she produced the record breaking German Champion Mare, Samira. Through Landstreicher-Damokles-Davos, Rock Forever's pedigree is well stocked. The granddam St.Pr.St. Darling was in the final ring of the 1990 Westphalian Elite Broodmare Show and she placed in medium (M) level show jumping competitions. The great granddam Prinzess won international advanced (S) level competitions under Markus Beerbaum. The Hanoverian mare line of Juraart is also the origin of Felix Hassmann's internationally successful Lover Boy. PerformanceRock Forever was the celebrated 2005 Reserve Champion of the 15th North Rhine Westphalian licensing in Münster-Handorf. A year later at the same location, after having won bronze at the Bundeschampionat in the class for 3-year old stallions, he took his 30-day test where he received the highest scores. In 2007 he again competed in the Bundeschampionat, this time as the outstanding Westphalian Champion (score 9.05) where he won the qualification with 8.6 under his trainer and rider, Henrike Sommer, and just missed winning the final. ProgenyRock Forever's first crop exceeded all expectations. Dr. Friedrich Marahrens, Westphalia's Breeding director, made the following comment: "The phenotype of his remarkably uniform crop was marked by foals that have inherited their sire's elegance, expression and gaits."
